With a nation on edge after three mass shootings in the space of one week, a backfiring motorcycle causes mass panic in New York City, United States of America. The panic also interrupted and ended the Broadway play “To Kill a Mockingbird” in the Schubert Theatre. The crowd had attempted to flee the play, resulting in a stampede which injured 22 people. New York Police Department said a group of motorcycles were passing by when one of them backfired. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio also issued a statement via his Twitter account that, “Times Square is safe and secure. The noises heard earlier were motorcycles backfiring, not gunshots.”One person said, “We just hear ‘pop’, ‘pop’, ‘pop’, and thought that somebody just came in and started shooting people.”Another said, “It’s a shame the climate of America is like this.”The mass shootings have occurred at public events. The last three shootings at the Gilroy Garlic Festival, Arianna Grande’s Manchester concert and Route 91 Harvest Festival left 58 dead and another 489 wounded. Anotonov An-22. Kesemuanya direncanakan masih akan terus dioperasikan sampai tahun 2033.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading… Related
Rugby League By SIMON KESLEP ALLAN Simbiri debuted on a winning note, scoring a converted try as Agmark Rabaul Gurias dominated with a 30-10 win over Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles on Sunday at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby. The former Central Dabaris playmaker was good with his kicking game and also assisting in attacking plays. Simbiri playing at five-eight was well backed up by PNG Kumuls and Gurias halfback Watson Boas, hooker Wartovo Puara, whilst the forwards laid the foundation upfront for the backline to help as well. He (Simbiri) scored the opening try off a Boas grubber which caught Eagles backline by surprise. Boas then went on to assist in their third try scored by John Ragi Junior. Eagles had several opportunities in their favor however they failed to complete attacking sets due to ball handling errors and miss communication to executive game plan. Eagles skipper Henry Wan stepped up to take lead in the forward pack which paved way for the halfback to score a solo effort try. The likes of Gurias forwards Ila Alu, Epel Kapinias, Jordan Pat and interchange Francis Takai and Muka Kalu Peter gained the much needed metres as Eagles struggled to keep up with the fast attacking plays in defensive sets. Gurias extended their lead with another converted try to Wartovo Puara Jr from the scrum. Boas and Simbiri added the extras as Gurias led 18-4 at halftime. The start of second half also saw Gurias maintaining defensive sets despite conceding a try by Eagles Moses Tali as five-eight Garry James successfully converted. All hopes for an Eagles comeback was left shattered as Gurias scored two converted try courtesy of Jordan Pat and fullback Terry Wapi. “It (the win) meant a lot for the team and the company including supporters, the entire season we dedicate to our late John ‘Papa Guria’ Nightingale. A win is a win and we are happy we got the win. But at the back of this win, we still have some areas to work on. I think they (Boas, Puara Jr, SP PNG Hunters players) stepped up and we just need to fix just few little things.” “I think Allan and Watson picked up the combination well, it is a bonus for the club. He (Simbiri) has been doing really well in training and today that is his first game and hope he will pick up from time to time…probably he will be the danger man,” said Gurias co-coach Marcus Kaugla. Eagles coach Billy Gau admitted most of his players are inexperience going up against a better side like Gurias. “For this, we will not give any excuses, whether experience or inexperience, you have to play the game. Our first game is the stepping stone,” said coach Gau. Gurias 30 (Allan Simbiri, John Ragi Jr, Wartovo Puara Jr, Jordan Pat, Terry Wapi. Watson Boas 4/4, Simbiri 1/1). Mt. Hagen Eagles 10 (Bernard Noel, Moses Tali. Noel 0/1, Garry James 1/1.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe performances of teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi have been a major plus for Chelsea during pre-season.He has been involved in every one of the Blues’ friendlies and boss Maurizio Sarri has said he will part of Chelsea’s first-team squad for the coming season. AdChoices广告Here are five things you might not know about the 17-year-old forward.World at his feetWhile Hudson-Odoi’s strong pre-season performances may have come as a surprise to the casual observer, the forward showed what he was all about last year.He laid on two assists in the final of the Under-17s World Cup in India as England recovered from two goals down to hammer Spain 5-2.Having shown glimpses of his promise throughout the tournament, he has followed that up this summer and looks set to be in and around the Chelsea first team.Trophy-winning teenAlthough he is still over three months shy of turning 18, Hudson-Odoi is already no stranger to collecting silverware. He played a pivotal role as Chelsea’s academy dominated youth-level football last season and has already lifted two FA Youth Cups and the Under-18 Premier League title.Add to that his winners’ medal as part of England’s Under-17 World Cup squad and it appears Hudson-Odoi has a taste for success. Brotherly loveHudson-Odoi’s older brother Bradley is also plying his trade as a footballer and joined National League South outfit Wealdstone this summer.Unlike his younger sibling, 29-year-old Bradley was born in Ghana but has never represented his country of birth.Bradley was signed to the academy at Fulham but never made the step up to the first team at Craven Cottage and the striker has moved around non-League football since.Father’s footstepsAs well as his brother, Hudson-Odoi’s father was also a professional footballer.Bismark Odoi turned out for Hearts of Oak in his native Ghana and operated as a midfielder for the Accra-based side.Hudson-Odoi may be the latest in his family to emerge onto the scene but there is every possibility he will become the most recognised member of the clan.‘Little bro’Hudson-Odoi’s pre-season form may have drawn plenty of praise – but one former Chelsea player was already well aware of his talent.Michael Essien, a Ghana international who won two Premier League titles and the Champions League while at Stamford Bridge, is a big fan of the new Blues youngster. He took to Instagram following England’s Under-17 World Cup success to congratulate Hudson-Odoi, calling him “little bro”.
